French Days, Months, and Years: Essential Travel Phrases!

Bonus Tip! When saying the date, the order is "[Day of the week], le [Day] [Month] [Year]". For example, "Saturday, June 10th, 2024" is "samedi, le dix juin deux mille vingt-quatre". However, it's common to omit the day of the week and year, and just say "[Day] [Month]". For example, "June 10th" is "le dix juin".

 

Another Tip!

 

• Months in French are not capitalized.
• To ask for the date, you can say "On est quel jour ?" (What day is it today?) or "Quelle est la date aujourd'hui ?" (What is the date today?).
